Research : Brand identity

Brand is the “name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller’s product distinct from those of other sellers.” (wikipedia)

Alina Wheeler’s book, Designing Brand Identity is a reference for anyone involved in branding.


This mapping can help to pull on good & bad and find the way to explode identity for the brand.

“Color use in logos can also be addressed in terms of particular industries. The graph above shows the relative use across time of eight colors in the logos of seven selected industries (again, these shares sum to 100 percent).”


Colour is other big point of brand. People will recognise the colour without thought what is it?

Different type of industries have a their own specific type of colour.

Case study

This is a Logo of data company in UK that I try to compare their style.

I was noticed that most of data company use circle to be there logo and

symbol of globe , networking and connection.
